21.9ct Mother of Pearl Scrimshaw earrings.
Scrimshaw hearkens back to sailors' crafts of the early 1800's. It is the art of engraving an illustration into porous materials such as shells, ivory, or soft gemstones. Scrimshaw involves carving a design into the material with a sharp scribe and filling the lines with India ink. Each scrimshaw piece is sealed with epoxy to protect the illustrations. All scrimshaw is hand-scribed by Hannah.
Each earring measures 21x35mm.
Ear wires and bail are 14k yellow gold and the bezel around the pearl is sterling silver.
All metal has a matte finish.

India ink on luminous mother-of-pearl pieces illustrates ornate jellyfish gliding with the tides. The milky creatures appear to float all around the handmade, one-of-a-kind Mother of Pearl drop earrings — their elongated tentacles extending over the pearls' striated surfaces.

We offer free shipping on orders over $300 and ship either via USPS or FedEx, depending on the size of the order. You can opt to pay for a faster shipping method at checkout. A signature is required at delivery.
For International:
We ship via DHL and, when possible, with a signature requirement. We are only able to ship to a limited number of countries. International customers are required to pay for all shipping and customs costs.

I am obsessed with my ring. The sea green tourmaline is genuinely mesmerizing. It glows, shifts with the light, and somehow looks a little different every time I look at it, which is approximately 900 times a day. Oh my gosh! These pearls! The Magnolias are gorgeous with their lavender pink hues. So so pretty! And of course adorned with the gold barnacles these pearls are extra special! This necklace is aptly named 'enchanted.' Hannah has a unique gift in her ability to 'read' each stone's unique attributes, and dialogue with her materials accordingly. When I wear this, I morph into a miniature mermaid, with this as my pool. Amazing craftswomanship.
