Founded in 1974 by all-around-badass Kip Tiernan, Rosie's Place was inspired by the countless women Tiernan saw in shelters disguising themselves as men to receive assistance. In addition to offering basic services such as meals, shelter and education, they also offer holistic services like acupuncture and yoga as well as creative outlets and classes.
