Argent barnacles nestle in tidepools of Kingman turquoise in this handmade, one-of-a-kind necklace. Bright sterling silver mimic the shimmer of the ocean's waves that wash over with the tides while coral-hued silk adds contrast and warmth to the oceanic necklace.
Kingman turquoise Ruthie B. necklace with coral-hued silk. Available in bright sterling silver. Approximately 8x8mm - 11x12mm beads. 18in length with fish hook clasp.
Kingman Turquoise is sourced from the third-generation, family Colbaugh mine in Arizona, and renowned for its unique color variation and matrices. Most of the Kingman turquoise from the Colbaugh mine is soft-stabilized, which allows it to be used in jewelry.
MOHs Hardness: 5-6
Origins: Kingman, AZ
Care: Keep Kingman Turquoise away from chemicals. Contact with cosmetics, oils, acids, etc can discolor the gemstone. To clean, use warm water with mild soap. Do not use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner. Strands of turquoise should not be washed. They should be wiped down with a soft clean cloth before storing. Wetting the silk can cause stretching.
Healing Properties: serenity, communication, and spiritual expansion.
Birthstone: Turquoise is one of three December birthstones.

Like Ocean Glass washed up from the ocean with barnacles attached from their underwater journey, these Ruthie B earrings have an organic edge with a touch of lady like flourish in the gold ear hooks and barnacles. I love the calm blue with the edgy and lady like mix. These are earrings a mermaid left on her large rock perchv as she was luring a sailor into her charms. Lucky me I found them!

Oh my gosh...Hannah's art work of the Seaborn Nautilus is absolutely beautiful. I picked this Scrimshaw because the Nautilus is ancient and mysterious in it's alien underworld beauty. I treasure this special piece dearly as it is a little work of art on my neck.
