Provincial issue of Amphipolis in Macedonia. Faustina junior 161-176 C.E. Wife of Marcus Aurelius. Bronze unit. 4.2 grams 18mm Obverse, draped bust of Faustina. Reverse, Artemis, she rides a charging bull as she draws an arrow from quiver, a lesser known attribute of Artemis where she rides a bull, it’s associated with a festival called Tauropolia which was popular in Athens.

Pendant measures 26.16mm (from the top). Coin measures 19.5 x 22.36mm. 18" Chain.

All metal has a matte finish.

Care: Coins are made up from ancient metals that have developed an age-patina. Clean with warm water, mild soap, and a soft toothbrush. Dry immediately afterwards. Never use commercial coin-cleaning solutions or metal polish, which can strip the surface and texture.

We offer free shipping on orders over $300 and ship either via USPS or FedEx, depending on the size of the order. You can opt to pay for a faster shipping method at checkout. A signature is required at delivery. 

For International: 

We ship via DHL and, when possible, with a signature requirement. We are only able to ship to a limited number of countries. International customers are required to pay for all shipping and customs costs.
