Custom Ruthie B. rings are made to order and typically take 2–4 months to complete. Prices start at $4,000, with diamond versions and large sapphire versions generally starting around $8,000 and increasing depending on the size, quality, and character of the stone. Because each custom ring is made specifically for you, pricing will typically be higher than that of a similar ring from our current collection online.

THE ANATOMY OF THE RUTHIE B. RING

Like tiny ocean blossoms, the barnacles on our jewelry hold the rough-and-tumble nostalgia of the sea. Each one is hand-carved in wax by Hannah and cast into fine metal, gathering in quiet clusters that speak to the resilience of holding fast through changing tides

Cradled in a smooth bezel, the gemstone feels tucked safely into place, protected from the bumps and snags of everyday life. The band carries a satisfying weight and gently narrows toward the stone, drawing the eye to what matters most.

We pride ourselves in seeking out gemstones with uncommon beauty: vivid hues, distinctive inclusions, and an unmistakable sense of character. Hand-selected one by one, each is entirely unique, a reminder that true beauty is never uniform.

Each piece is crafted in solid, high-quality precious metal - never plated. Our signature matte finish honors the material, allowing it to soften and evolve with wear, developing a natural patina that tells the story of the wearer.

Tiny diamonds nestle within the barnacles like drops of seawater caught in the tide, revealing themselves only when the light finds them. Their sparkle is subtle and fleeting, a hidden treasure tucked among the textures of the sea.

Ring Sizing FAQ

We have you covered! We recommend checking out our Ring Sizer Loan Program. You can either add this sizer to your ring order or you can order the sizer prior to making your purchase.
Feel free to also contact the studio with any questions!

Ideally, we recommend borrowing one of the recipient’s rings (preferably one that is worn on the intended finger) and having a local jeweler (or us!) size the ring. Keep in mind that a narrower band will fit looser on a finger than a wider band, so try to borrow a ring that has a similar band width to the ring being gifted.
Feel free to reach out before or immediately following your purchase so we can brainstorm sizing together!
And keep in mind that we can always resize the ring after it is gifted!

Yep!

All of the One-of-a-Kind rings listed on our website are finished and ready for purchase. If you need a different size then use the drop down menu on the product page to select a different size.
That said, we can only resize a ring within two sizes up or down from the original size. For example, if the ring is listed as a size 7, then we can only resize the ring between a size 5 and size 9. If we went any larger or smaller, it would compromise the integrity of the ring.

Our One-of-a-Kind rings are resized by our talented friend outside of the studio. Since he is located on the other side of the city, it can take up to four weeks for this process (accounting for all the back and forth). This timeline applies to both rings needing to be resized at the time of purchase and rings sent back to us for a second resizing.
Handmade-to-Order rings are made to order so they ship fairly quickly (we do our best to keep popular sizes in stock). See the product page for an estimated delivery timeline. If you ordered the wrong size, then we can resize your Handmade-to-Order ring in our studio. Typically turnaround time is under a week (outside of the holiday season).
Please contact our studio prior to ordering with any time constraints and we can work together to find the best solution.

No worries, we are here to help! First, we recommend reaching out to our team so we can help you determine the correct size. You can email us at studio@hannahblount.com.
Once we’ve confirmed your size, we will provide instructions for shipping the ring back to our studio.
Keep in mind that ring resizing after the initial purchase will incur a service fee plus the cost of shipping. For a One-of-a-Kind ring, this fee can range from $50 to $300 depending on the style and stone. For Handmade-to-Order rings, we swap out the ring for a different size whenever possible, or resize the current ring in our studio for a small fee.
If you are unsure of your size, we recommend utilizing our Ring Sizer Loaner Program!
For International orders, we do not offer returns, exchanges, or resizing after delivery. Please work with a local jeweler to resize your ring.

Yes! Since we make everything ourselves, we can often make a ring in a custom size not offered on the website, including larger, smaller, or quarter sizes. Contact our studio at studio@hannahblount.com prior to ordering and we can walk you through a custom size request.
Note that there may be an additional fee for a custom size.

Figuring out the perfect size when you have larger knuckles can be a challenge. As artists that work with our hands and, therefore, tend to have larger knuckles, we get it! The good news is that we have a few options available.

WORN AND LOVED: THE RUTHIE B. RING

Paying in Installments

We have partnered with several independent financing companies to provide you with more flexibility and options.

At check out, select either ‘Shop Pay Installments’, ‘Klarna‘, or ‘Afterpay‘ as your payment method to go through the application process. If your application is approved, these companies will allow you to pay in installments. To learn more about their terms and conditions, please visit their respective websites.

Once you check out with one of these independent financing companies, we will process your order as normal and send the jewelry you ordered when ready. You will continue to work directly with your financing company to make your installment payments. Please note these financing companies are separate from Hannah Blount Jewelry. As a result, we are not responsible for their actions or services.

Note: Depending on your geographic location and total amount due at check-out, only some of these independent financing companies may offer financing services to you.

All packages ship fully insured.  

For Domestic (US): 

We offer free shipping on orders over $300 and ship either via USPS or FedEx, depending on the size of the order. You can opt to pay for a faster shipping method at checkout. A signature is required at delivery. 

For International: 

We ship via DHL and, when possible, with a signature requirement. We are only able to ship to a limited number of countries. International customers are required to pay for all shipping and customs costs.
