Returns & Repairs

At Hannah Blount Jewelry, every piece begins with a story. Our jewelry is designed to be meaningful, personal, and lasting and we want you to be truly satisfied with your purchase.

If something is not quite right, we encourage you to contact our studio so we may help resolve it directly.

Exchanges & Store Credit

If you wish to return an eligible item, we are happy to offer an exchange in accordance with this policy.

Once we receive a returned order and following inspection, the eligible value (less any applicable deductions) will be applied toward either: (i) an exchange for a new piece or (ii) issued as store credit.

Note that we do not offer refunds at this time.

Exchanges

For an exchange, if the new item selected is of greater value, the balance will be due at checkout. If the new item is of lesser value, the remaining balance will be issued as store credit, less any applicable restocking fees and original shipping charges (if any). All exchanges are subject to product availability at the time of processing.

Store Credit

For store credit, approved returns will be issued as store credit. This credit will reflect the eligible value of the returned item, less any applicable restocking fees and original shipping charges, if any. Store credit does not expire and may be used toward eligible future purchases.

Eligibility

To be eligible for an exchange, items must be unworn, unused, and in original condition, including all original packaging and materials.

To initiate an return, please log into your profile on the website (click on the little person on the top right of our website for the login page). If you are within the exchange window, you will be able to click into the order and submit a return request. Our studio will reach out with further instructions. After 10 days, all sales are final.

If you are purchasing a gift and anticipate needing additional time, please contact our studio prior to placing your order. We also extend our return window during the winter holiday season; updated deadlines will be shared in our newsletter. Join our email list for more information!

All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt. We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions, including items that show signs of wear, damage, alteration, resizing, or improper handling.

If a return does not meet eligibility requirements, we may, at our sole discretion, offer partial store credit based on condition.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, store credit, or adjustment:

  • Custom or bespoke orders
  • Sale or promotional items (final sale)
  • Rings that have been resized or altered as part of the order, including one-of-a-kind rings sized prior to shipment
  • International orders
  • Purchases made through retail partners

We only accept returns or exchanges for items purchased directly through the Hannah Blount Jewelry website. Purchases made through retail partners must be handled directly with the retailer, as their policies apply.

Original Shipping Charges

Original shipping charges, if any, are non-refundable and will not be applied to the value of any items being exchanged or returned.

Return Shipping & Risk of Loss

All returns must be pre-approved prior to shipment.

Customers are responsible for arranging return shipping back to our studio for items under $3,000 in value. We strongly recommend a trackable and insured service for those packages.

For items higher than $3,000 in value, we will coordinate shipping back to our studio.

Risk of loss or damage remains with the sender until the return is received and confirmed at our studio.

All international orders are final sale.

Please note we are also not able to issue any refunds on the original duties & taxes paid by the receiver on behalf of your order. These fees are remitted to the destination country at the time of order placement.

Please contact the studio before shipping any pieces to our shop.

If you need to return a piece to us, please ship your jewelry back to us inside a sturdy shipping box. We say this with love (and a little begging).

The small paper jewelry box your piece arrives in is not a shipping box - it’s just meant to hold the jewelry inside the package (that's why it has a fancy ribbon on it!). If that little box goes straight into the mail on its own, or inside a padded envelope, there’s a real risk the jewelry could be damaged along the way.

Packages go through a lot in transit. They get tossed, stacked under piles of other boxes, dropped, and occasionally slammed around during sorting and transport. A padded envelope just doesn’t offer enough protection for something as special as jewelry.

Our general rule of thumb when packing is: Would this survive if someone accidentally stepped on the box? If the answer is yes, you’re probably in good shape.

So when sending something back, please place the jewelry inside a proper shipping box with a little padding (tissue paper, bubble wrap... even paper towels work!). Feel free to reuse the shipping box your pieces arrived in or something similar. Your future jewelry self (and our repair bench) will thank you!

As of January 2018, Hannah Blount Jewelry no longer creates plated jewelry and cannot replace or repair vermeil.
