The magic and viridescent gemstone prehnite is known for it's vivid hues and calming qualities. Found in South Africa, eastern parts of the United States, Australia, China and even Scotland, prehnite is believed to quiet restlessness, and alleviate worry.
At a 6 on the MOHS scale, prehnite is considered a purifying stone and improves the wearer's intuition. The stone was named for Dutch military commander Hendrik Von Prehn, who helped discover the stone in South Africa. Prehnite encourages acceptance, release and compassion.
