Solaris Montana Sapphire Branch Waiting Ring with Diamonds

SOLD OUT

Like a hidden constellation caught in stone, this ring glimmers with quiet radiance. Its Montana sapphire- alive with flickers of orange, green and blue- seems to hold a fragment of celestial light, suspended within the earth. Branch-like prongs reach up to cradle the gem like rays of the sun, capturing that rare moment where warmth meets stillness, and light takes root in shadow.

Mined in the US and easy to trace its ethical origins, Montana Sapphires tend to come in muted, dreamy colors. Sapphires are a corundum variety, like rubies, that come in every color but red. While classic, cobalt sapphires are the most popular, the HBJ studio loves those with inclusions and atypical coloring. Sapphire inclusions are formed by minerals called needles; in ancient Greece and Rome, royalty believed that sapphires provided protection.
Origins: Montana, USA
MOHs Hardness: 9
Care: While sapphires are very sturdy, they can still break. Avoid dropping them onto hard surfaces. To clean your sapphire piece, soak in warm, soapy water and remove any dirt with a toothbrush or the like. It is safe to clean with an ultrasonic and steam cleaner

THE ANATOMY OF THE BRANCH

Bare branches mark a moment of transition, a pause between what has been and what is about to unfold. These nature-inspired jewelry designs and engagement rings draw from those forms, symbolizing resilience and new beginnings. Inspired by the stillness before spring, these organic designs capture the moment of becoming.

Each branch style is hand-carved and built one branch at a time, capturing the irregular shape and movement found in nature. The result is a sculptural, one-of-a-kind ring or necklace that gives a distinct sense of life and character.

Gemstones are thoughtfully selected for their individuality, with a focus on Montana sapphires, aquamarines, emeralds, tourmalines, antique diamonds, and other naturally included stones. Their variation in tone, clarity, and texture enhances the organic setting, allowing each ring and necklace to feel entirely unique while complementing the natural, branching forms.

Some branch settings carry subtle jeweled accents that catch the light. Tiny gemstone berries and hidden diamond halos hint at life just about to emerge.

Cast in solid gold, platinum and silver, these designs are made with fine metals meant to last. The strength and weight of the material provide a foundation for the delicate forms, balancing durability with a refined, organic aesthetic.

Branches curve and wrap in fluid, asymmetrical lines, creating silhouettes that feel both untamed and intentional. These pieces move beyond traditional styles, offering a more expressive, nature-driven approach to fine jewelry and engagement rings.
