Soft, airy, and quietly luminous, this ring feels like something grown rather than made. At its center sits a pale Montana sapphire, silvery-blue with a gentle, misted quality. The stone is cradled by our Branch Waiting setting, where organic gold forms curve and reach like tender stems, holding the sapphire with an almost protective delicacy. Small diamonds are tucked into the branches on either side, catching the light like dew resting on tiny blooms.

The stone in setting measures approx. 7.28x7.83mm. The stone measures approx. 5.56x7.20mm

All metal has a matte finish.

Sapphire was cut by David Watkins from Rigby Leigh Gems. It is heat treated.

The ring is size 6.5. Please note: ring resizing can add up to a week to your shipping estimate. Resized rings are not eligible for return or exchange.

Mined in the US and easy to trace its ethical origins, Montana Sapphires tend to come in muted, dreamy colors. Sapphires are a corundum variety, like rubies, that come in every color but red. While classic, cobalt sapphires are the most popular, the HBJ studio loves those with inclusions and atypical coloring. Sapphire inclusions are formed by minerals called needles; in ancient Greece and Rome, royalty believed that sapphires provided protection.

Care: While sapphires are very sturdy, they can still break. Avoid dropping them onto hard surfaces. To clean your sapphire piece, soak in warm, soapy water and remove any dirt with a toothbrush or the like. It is safe to clean with an ultrasonic and steam cleaner
