Behind the Magic | Rare Earth Mining Co.

Hannah Blount Jewelry
As a fellow small business, we take a lot of pride in buying gemstones from dealers that are also small but mighty. Founded in 1976 by former teacher  Bill Heher, Rare Earth Mining Co. is one of the studio's go-tos for the most unique selection of gemstone materials.
Some of HBJ's favorite pieces, including the latest tourmaline Vanity earrings as well as the Fire and Ice Vanity earrings and ring, come from Rare Earth Mining Co. Bill and his son Curt, along with their team, cut and sell their selection of unique gemstones, and act as a liaison between the mines and retailers.
Rare Earth Mining Co. kindly sent over some images from their last trip to the Arraconga mine in Brazil. Seeing this beautiful and mysterious stone in it's rarest form is a real treat. Tourmaline have a rich history dating back to the 1500s, and their vast range in appearance contributes to their allure.
