This ring centers around a deep blue Montana sapphire; moody, inky, and full of quiet movement, like open water under a night sky. Set low in warm gold, the stone feels grounded and steady, a constant point to return to.

Two small diamonds sit nestled into hand-carved barnacle details, adding subtle flashes of light, like stars used for navigation. The organic setting hugs the stone closely, with soft curves and natural textures that echo years of salt, wind, and tide.

0.99ct Montana sapphire Ruthie B. ring.

Solid 14k gold band and setting with solid platinum barnacles. Tiny post-consumer diamonds are set within each barnacle, totaling approximately 0.02ct.

Stone + setting measures approximately 7x7.25mm in width and 4mm in height.

All metal has a matte finish.

Mined in the US and easy to trace its ethical origins, Montana Sapphires tend to come in muted, dreamy colors. Sapphires are a corundum variety, like rubies, that come in every color but red. While classic, cobalt sapphires are the most popular, the HBJ studio loves those with inclusions and atypical coloring. Sapphire inclusions are formed by minerals called needles; in ancient Greece and Rome, royalty believed that sapphires provided protection.

Care: While sapphires are very sturdy, they can still break. Avoid dropping them onto hard surfaces. To clean your sapphire piece, soak in warm, soapy water and remove any dirt with a toothbrush or the like. It is safe to clean with an ultrasonic and steam cleaner

We offer free shipping on orders over $300 and ship either via USPS or FedEx, depending on the size of the order. You can opt to pay for a faster shipping method at checkout. A signature is required at delivery. 

For International: 

We ship via DHL and, when possible, with a signature requirement. We are only able to ship to a limited number of countries. International customers are required to pay for all shipping and customs costs.

Cradled in a smooth bezel, the gemstone feels tucked safely into place, protected from the bumps and snags of everyday life. The band carries a satisfying weight and gently narrows toward the stone, drawing the eye to what matters most.
