Rhodonite comes from the Ural Mountains of Russia, and is the same variety used to make Faberge eggs. Rhodonite's name comes from the Greek word for "rose-red" after its beautiful roseate hue.

Origins: Russia
Care: Rhodonite is a soft stone: be extra careful to avoid abrasive surfaces. To keep your rhodonite clean, use warm water with mild soap and a soft toothbrush or cloth. Do not use a steam cleaner or ultrasonic cleaner.
