THE MEANING BEHIND Branches

“Nothing ends, it simply becomes something new. I am drawn to that moment of transition, where stillness gives way to a bloom, and change begins to take shape.” ~ Hannah

14k gold setting. All metal has a matte finish.

The setting measures approx. 9.1x8.95mm. The stone measures approx. 8.36 x 7.15 x 3.84 mm.

The ring is size 7. Please note: ring resizing can add up to 4 weeks to your shipping estimate. Resized rings are not eligible for return or exchange.

We intentionally choose gemstones with natural inclusions, and some may also feature subtle surface texture. These characteristics are part of what makes each stone unique, and one of the things we love most about natural gemstones.

Mined in the US and easy to trace its ethical origins, Montana Sapphires tend to come in muted, dreamy colors. Sapphires are a corundum variety, like rubies, that come in every color but red. While classic, cobalt sapphires are the most popular, the HBJ studio loves those with inclusions and atypical coloring. Sapphire inclusions are formed by minerals called needles; in ancient Greece and Rome, royalty believed that sapphires provided protection.
Origins: Montana, USA
MOHs Hardness: 9
Care: While sapphires are very sturdy, they can still break. Avoid dropping them onto hard surfaces. To clean your sapphire piece, soak in warm, soapy water and remove any dirt with a toothbrush or the like. It is safe to clean with an ultrasonic and steam cleaner

THE ANATOMY OF THE BRANCH

Bare branches mark a moment of transition, a pause between what has been and what is about to unfold. These nature-inspired jewelry designs and engagement rings draw from those forms, symbolizing resilience and new beginnings. Inspired by the stillness before spring, these organic designs capture the moment of becoming.

Each branch style is hand-carved and built one branch at a time, capturing the irregular shape and movement found in nature. The result is a sculptural, one-of-a-kind ring or necklace that gives a distinct sense of life and character.

Gemstones are thoughtfully selected for their individuality, with a focus on Montana sapphires, aquamarines, emeralds, tourmalines, antique diamonds, and other naturally included stones. Their variation in tone, clarity, and texture enhances the organic setting, allowing each ring and necklace to feel entirely unique while complementing the natural, branching forms.

Some branch settings carry subtle jeweled accents that catch the light. Tiny gemstone berries and hidden diamond halos hint at life just about to emerge.

Cast in solid gold, platinum and silver, these designs are made with fine metals meant to last. The strength and weight of the material provide a foundation for the delicate forms, balancing durability with a refined, organic aesthetic.

Branches curve and wrap in fluid, asymmetrical lines, creating silhouettes that feel both untamed and intentional. These pieces move beyond traditional styles, offering a more expressive, nature-driven approach to fine jewelry and engagement rings.

THE STORY OF HBJ BRIDAL

Singular connections deserve singular designs: Hannah Blount Jewelry’s wedding bands and engagement rings are comprised of fine metals and antique diamonds. Crafted in a variety of your favorite collections including Vanity, Waiting, Ruthie B., and more, these rings give new life to diamonds of eras past. Each of these new Hannah Blount Jewelry diamond rings and bands was handmade to commemorate every type of love: their meaning is yours to define. Unlike the love they symbolize, these one-of-a-kind engagement rings and wedding bands are only here until they’re gone.

Ring Sizing FAQ

We have you covered! We recommend checking out our Ring Sizer Loan Program. You can either add this sizer to your ring order or you can order the sizer prior to making your purchase.
Feel free to also contact the studio with any questions!

Ideally, we recommend borrowing one of the recipient’s rings (preferably one that is worn on the intended finger) and having a local jeweler (or us!) size the ring. Keep in mind that a narrower band will fit looser on a finger than a wider band, so try to borrow a ring that has a similar band width to the ring being gifted.
Feel free to reach out before or immediately following your purchase so we can brainstorm sizing together!
And keep in mind that we can always resize the ring after it is gifted!

Yep!

All of the One-of-a-Kind rings listed on our website are finished and ready for purchase. If you need a different size then use the drop down menu on the product page to select a different size.
That said, we can only resize a ring within two sizes up or down from the original size. For example, if the ring is listed as a size 7, then we can only resize the ring between a size 5 and size 9. If we went any larger or smaller, it would compromise the integrity of the ring.
If you cannot find a ring on our website that will fit your finger, please reach out! We have lots of lovely gemstones and would love to help you make your perfect ring in your exact size. Please visit our Ruthie B. Custom Ring page if you are interested in a Ruthie B. ring. Otherwise, reach out to us via our Custom page.

Our One-of-a-Kind rings are resized by our talented friend outside of the studio. Since he is located on the other side of the city, it can take up to four weeks for this process (accounting for all the back and forth). This timeline applies to both rings needing to be resized at the time of purchase and rings sent back to us for a second resizing.
Handmade-to-Order rings are made to order so they ship fairly quickly (we do our best to keep popular sizes in stock). See the product page for an estimated delivery timeline. If you ordered the wrong size, then we can resize your Handmade-to-Order ring in our studio. Typically turnaround time is under a week (outside of the holiday season).
Please contact our studio prior to ordering with any time constraints and we can work together to find the best solution.

No worries, we are here to help! First, we recommend reaching out to our team so we can help you determine the correct size. You can email us at studio@hannahblount.com.
Once we’ve confirmed your size, we will provide instructions for shipping the ring back to our studio.
Keep in mind that ring resizing after the initial purchase will incur a service fee plus the cost of shipping. For a One-of-a-Kind ring, this fee can range from $50 to $300 depending on the style and stone. For Handmade-to-Order rings, we swap out the ring for a different size whenever possible, or resize the current ring in our studio for a small fee.
If you are unsure of your size, we recommend utilizing our Ring Sizer Loaner Program!
For International orders, we do not offer returns, exchanges, or resizing after delivery. Please work with a local jeweler to resize your ring.

Yes! Since we make everything ourselves, we can often make a ring in a custom size not offered on the website, including larger, smaller, or quarter sizes. Contact our studio at studio@hannahblount.com prior to ordering and we can walk you through a custom size request.
Note that there may be an additional fee for a custom size.

Figuring out the perfect size when you have larger knuckles can be a challenge. As artists that work with our hands and, therefore, tend to have larger knuckles, we get it! The good news is that we have a few options available.
Please feel free to reach out to our studio at studio@hannahblount.com for more help. We can discuss adding sizing beads to the band or other useful tricks.
