This necklace feels like something drawn from a quiet fairytale; soft light, water, and wild roses meeting in balance.

At its center rests a luminous, oval aquamarine in a pale, watery blue, glowing with the calm clarity of a still pool. A studio favorite for its oceanic hues and unique inclusions, aquamarine has long been associated with the sea- once believed to be the treasure of mermaids, and we’re inclined to agree. Named for the Latin word for seawater by a 16th-century stonecutter, its pelagic color comes from traces of iron within the stone. The deeper the blue, the more valuable the aquamarine.
Origins: Primarily mined in Brazil and parts of Africa
MOHs Hardness: 7.5-8
Care: Aquamarines are sturdy, but they are not invincible- they can break. Avoid dropping them onto hard surfaces. To clean your aquamarine jewelry, soak in warm, soapy water and remove any dirt with a toothbrush or the like. Do not use an ultrasonic of steam cleaner.
