These earrings feel like wildflowers caught in stone. Each sapphire holds a natural bloom of color, soft stormy gray shifting into vivid wild-pink, like dianthus petals pressing through coastal fog. The stones have that signature HBJ texture: misty inclusions, cloudy depth, and subtle shifts in tone that make them feel alive in the light.

Set in Hannah’s hand-formed prongs and suspended from delicate gold ear wires, the settings are intentionally minimal so the sapphires can take center stage. Organic and a little untamed, the prongs follow the curves of the stones like vines holding a wild bloom.

Each earring measures approx. 36.55mm from the top of the ear wire and weighs 3.8 grams. Each drop measures approx. 25.45x18.2mm.

Sapphires are a corundum variety, like rubies, that come in every color but red. While classic, cobalt sapphires are the most popular, the HBJ studio loves those with inclusions and atypical coloring. Sapphire inclusions are formed by minerals called needles; in ancient Greece and Rome, royalty believed that sapphires provided protection.
