Tourmalines are beloved by HBJ for their singular inclusions that evoke a variety of still-beauty, from lily ponds to watercolor paintings. The discovery of tourmaline occurred during the 1500s in Brazil, where it was mistaken for emerald. Tourmaline’s wide spectrum of colors earned its name from the Sinhalese word for “mixed gems”- green tourmalines are the most popular iteration and a studio favorite for their lush and organic refinement, but each variety seems to hold the most beautiful shades of every color.

THE ANATOMY OF THE ROSE

Inspired by the wild roses of Nantucket and the decadence of Parisian architecture, our handcrafted roses celebrate growth, love, and milestones, bringing the promise of new beginnings to full bloom. Each blossom captures the organic beauty of nature with delicate petals, resilient branches, and the timeless elegance of baroque design, caught and held in metal.

Each rose is hand-carved, giving every petal a sculptural quality. This artisanal process ensures that every piece - ring, necklace, or earring - echoes the natural curves of a blossom in full bloom.

Crafted from solid silver and gold with our signature matte finish, these handcrafted pieces are built with metals that provide a sturdy foundation for the intricate floral details. Our nature-inspired fine jewelry and engagement rings that are both elegant and enduring.

Petals curl and layer in asymmetrical, flowering arrangements, creating sculptural silhouettes that feel both luxurious and alive. Our floral designs celebrate the moment when growth becomes full bloom; a natural continuation of the transition first marked in our branch pieces.

Every gemstone we choose is entirely one-of-a-kind: defined by natural inclusions, rich color, and distinct character. From Montana sapphires and diamonds to opals and other unique gems, each is hand-selected for our nature-inspired fine jewelry and engagement rings, bringing individuality and meaning to every piece.
