This necklace features a 13.4ct moss aquamarine with oxidized silver roses.

The seat, roses and chain are oxidized solid sterling silver. The prongs, bail, and jump ring are solid 14k yellow gold.

All metal has a matte finish.

The pendant measures 16x26x7mm.

Chain is 18" in length, including lobster clasp closure.

Aquamarines were named for the Latin word for seawater by a 1500s stonecutter. Traces of iron within aquamarines cause their pelagic colors; the more intense shade of blue, the more valuable the aquamarine.

Origins: Primarily mined in Brazil and parts of Africa.
Care: Although aquamarines are sturdy they are not invincible and can break: avoid dropping them onto hard surfaces. To clean your aquamarine jewelry, soak in warm, soapy water and remove any dirt with a toothbrush or the like. 
Healing Properties: Aquamarines are considered to be cooling and soothing, as well as enhancing clear communication.

The fish hook clasp and red silk string make this delicate pearl necklace more whimsical than a traditional pearl necklace and yet elegant. I put the clasp to the side so it can be seen since it is very unique!

The muted gold on the band is subtle and very complementary to the muted gem. If you are into flashy, look-at-my-blood-diamond ring and how much my husband makes rings, this is not for you.
