Fishing Festival

Posted by Hannah Blount on

I am thrilled to be a part of this Working Waterfront Festival! It takes me back to my college roots, when I would walk from the New Bedford UMD Star Store Studios down to the pier to visit my dad on his boat, the Ruthie B. Now I get to exhibit my work, the collection that was originally inspired by this theme, down at the same pier. If you are in the area, it is a great time and a really fun festival. You should definitely stop by- if not to see my jewels, then to consume incredible seafood, listen to shanties and live music and just feel the love from a rich heritage of trade.

Here is what they have to say about it:

"Join us at the 2012 Working Waterfront Festival, New Bedford, MA (September 29-30) A FREE celebration of New England's fishing industry: music, seafood, children’s activities, cooking demos, harbor tours, fishermen’s contests, authors, films, bookstore, artisans & more. 508-993-8894 www.workingwaterfrontfestival.org."
