This week I had the privilege of visiting the MOMA to see the Tim Burton exhibit (I believe I mentioned the exhibit earlier). I never realized how many of my favorite movies he worked on- Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and I cannot WAIT to see Alice in Wonderland. It was interesting that some of the images scrawled on the walls were so clearly a certain character in my memory- Mars Attack's alien, the Queen in Alice in Wonderland... they are easy connections to make, true, but somehow the little details are so distinct and memorable. As horrific as some of his works are, they are still incredibly creative and fascinating- and totally awesome. I wish I had had more time to walk through it- I highly recommend anyone to go visit, but give yourself plenty of time, for there are a plethora of cool little videos that will suck you in. You will enjoy it, I promise!
