I have a special place in my heart for mugs, especially handmade ones, so when I saw this cutey by Kristy Lombard I just had to add it to my collection. A nice cup of coffee in a beautiful new mug is just the best way to start your day.

A friend stumbled upon a company named Paloma's Nest a few weeks ago, and I have been reaping the benefits of her discovery.

Here is a porcelain egg I purchased from them with the words, "Whatever you are, be a good one."

When I was looking over the Paloma's Nest merchandise, this quote really struck me. It was just when I had decided to quit my day job to focus on jewelry, and I really believe in Abraham Lincoln's words. I take pride in my craft and in my life. I think we should all try to be our best self, and I love that I have this motif staring at me every day in my studio.

This past Thanksgiving I had the privilege of spending the holiday with my friend's family, and her mother was kind enough to donate to my growing egg collection. I think they look lovely on this old hobnail lamp.

Perhaps a bit late, but I wanted to introduce an addition to my egg collection: this little one, formed from clay and gold foiled. It was a birthday present from my dear friend, Jemesii, who makes these little creatures covered with glitter for her own home. I may eventually be snagging myself a few of those, too... hint, hint...

While home on Nantucket for my trunk show, I took some time to meander the streets of my old hometown. I found this beauty at one of my favorite shops on the island, Milly and Grace. I thought it would be a lovely addition to my new collection.

When my friend made the trip down to NYC recently, she spent some time in her old hood, Brooklyn. There she visited her favorite shop, Catbird, and brought me back this little trinket! I am in love. I don't know why I did not think of this before, but I have decided to collect eggs. Now, wherever I go, I will always be on the lookout for them... I can't wait to see my collection grow!

PS Feel free to add to my collection. I love gifts.
Just saying...
