Pearls

I was unsure how the Pearls would fare in the plating bath, but decided to take the risk anyways. The pearls, though slightly more matte, came back to me alright...

These Vermeil eggs have grey Freshwater Pearls, Blue Lace Agate, and Rainbow Moonstone beads. I thought it would be nice to mix the colors up a bit.

I made these facets years ago, but never put them into any of my work- until now! I had a few lying around, and decided to reintroduce them into my Facets Collection.

I've been busy filling in the gaps of my nautical line, Ruthie B. See below for some snapshots! Click the image to be taken to their page. I am so excited to be making these, and can't wait to make more!

Who knew these two would go together so nicely? As requested, I set a little 3-point diamond on this Large Skate Egg Case Necklace. It is just the right flash of bling, and a fabulous combo! I've added it to my permanent collection here.

I've been making some new stock in lieu of the nicer weather. Here is a little peek!

A friend stumbled upon a company named Paloma's Nest a few weeks ago, and I have been reaping the benefits of her discovery.

Here is a porcelain egg I purchased from them with the words, "Whatever you are, be a good one."

When I was looking over the Paloma's Nest merchandise, this quote really struck me. It was just when I had decided to quit my day job to focus on jewelry, and I really believe in Abraham Lincoln's words. I take pride in my craft and in my life. I think we should all try to be our best self, and I love that I have this motif staring at me every day in my studio.

Spring is fast approaching, and what better time to introduce several new pieces to the Ruthie B. Collection? The original Skate Egg Case Necklace has become a fast favorite, so I wanted to create a piece with a bit more volume.  I decided to bump up the size of the original piece to create a Mermaid's Purse that makes a bold statement. The piece is available as earrings or as a necklace.

My Ruthie B. Collection is constantly growing as I rediscover that nostalgia I grew up with. Every walk along the beach has been transformed into a whole new world of opportunity, and it never ceases to astound me. I hope it has the same effect on you.

In anticipation of spring and with the excitement of new dress purchases, my sister, Rachel, bought some bright and fun jewelry to match. We decided that these three pairs of earrings would go with just about everything she owned, while still adding a pop of volume or color that every outfit needs :)

Here are my five favorite Oscar gowns:

Gwyneth Paltrow looked beautiful in this simple and streamlined white Tom Ford gown. It looks like it was made for her (it probably was) and the cape is such an interesting addition- and yet it makes perfect sense for a perfect silhouette.

Michelle Williams never fails to amazing me. Along with making me want a short haircut (for the first time in my life), her style is always perfection. Once again, she stunned with this gorgeous red Louis Vuitton gown.

Simple, sophisticated, elegant, and mature. So young to be so wise! I love a good long sleeve, as does Shailene Woodley, wearing this white Valentino Couture dress.

Ya, this dress is a whole lotta gold, but I happen to love gold. Here is Meryl Streep, looking her usual stunning self on the red carpet, wearing Lanvin with eco-friendly fabric sourced by Livia Firth.

Last but not least is the breathtaking image of Octavia Spencer wearing Tadashi Shoji, who, in my opinion, looked the most amazing of them all. She is a goddess.
What was your favorite Oscar gown?

Have I shown these yet? Some of my most familiar beach tokens as a child have to be these Slipper shells.
